Guided Imagery and Music
Understanding GIM
The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (GIM) is a gentle yet profound path of music-centered therapy. Developed by music therapist Helen Bonny, this approach uses carefully selected classical music programs to help you connect with your inner landscape. It is a beautiful way to foster personal growth, find deeper meaning in your life's journey, and explore the existential questions that matter most to your heart and mind.

Your Journey Through a Session
We’ll begin with a brief conversation about your current experiences and intentions. You will then find a comfortable position and engage in a guided relaxation and focusing experience. As the music plays, I will offer gentle prompts and questions to help you describe and deepen the images that arise. When the music is over, we’ll take time to ground, reflect, and process your experience, sometimes through creative expression such as drawing. Because GIM is immersive, sessions are longer than standard therapy and typically occur every other week, allowing time to integrate your insights between sessions.

Investment
Since GIM involves specialized session lengths focused on deep personal growth, these services are not currently covered by insurance providers. To make this transformative work more accessible, I provide two different options for our twice-monthly meetings to best fit your needs:
90-minute GIM session: $225
120-minute GIM session: $300
